We chatted with Daniel from MovePosition to learn more.
Movement: Let's start with the lowdown on MovePosition. What do you do?
Daniel (MovePosition): MovePosition is a money-market on Movement. It differentiates itself from other lending protocols because it actually doesn't use static risk models where there's a fixed rate between pairs. It looks at the composition of your entire portfolio based on correlation scores and volatility risk. It's a money market but it's not like any other kind of money market in the DeFi space.
Our team is stacked: a serial-founder CEO, top-tier engineers, the kind of talent that can actually ship this level of complexity.
Movement: So why are you building on Movement?
Daniel (MovePosition): The team. Everyone is willing to help. Everyone is willing to lend you their time and step in. Movement’s people are responsive and transparent. Having that human factor with the team is something you can't get anywhere else.
Movement: You’re taking part in our DeFi Spring/Summer. How’s it going?
Daniel (MovePosition): It launched in late April and has been great. On top of our regular yields, our users are receiving $MOVE rewards, which gets distributed on a weekly basis. Depositors can stake $MOVE, earn strong APRs, borrow against it, and loop, all with weekly incentives.
Movement: You could have jumped to another chain earlier this year. Why stay?
Daniel (MovePosition): We knew that the Movement team doesn't reflect what occurred. We know the team is building something next generation, something that's going to be beneficial to use. If anything, this was the time to double down and dig deeper, because we believe in the vision of what Movement's trying to do.
Movement: You handle community relations. What’s the vibe like?
Daniel (MovePosition): Dedicated. Our core members never wavered. They’re in Discord every day, giving feedback and shaping the product. Their commitment pushes us.
Movement: Do you have anything else to share?
Daniel (MovePosition): I’m genuinely grateful. Movement created a seat at the table for people like me, a community member who put in the work and ended up on a great team. They’ve improved my quality of life, and I want to pay that forward to the community.
